Air tools require lubricant so that the internal moving parts are lubricated. This can be done by placing a few drops of oil in the air inlet fitting on the bottom of the tool. This should be done on a daily basis or whenever the tool is used. It is also recommended that an air filter lubricator is used. An air filter is a device which removes contaminants from a compressed air stream. Moisture can condense in the air compressor so it is extremely important to drain the tank after each days use, also the filter regulator. Be sure to take into account the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) requirements of your air tool or the equipment you intend to use, which will need to be lower than the CFM of your compressor.
