Sealey Space Heater Paraffin Diesel AB1758SS

Before attempting to operate the Sealey AB1758SS Diesel Kerosene Stainless Steel Space Heater carefully read through the entire instruction manual,to understand the applications limitations and potential hazards associated with this Space Heater. Failure to do so could lead to serious personal injury.Take note of the important safety instructions.

Diesel Kerosene Space heaters are potentially dangerous equipment, which if not used correctly can cause serious injury to the user. The user bears sole responsibility for any damage or injury that may result from the use of the heater for any purpose other than it was intended. Space heaters should not be operated by persons under 16 years of age, or persons whose stature and strength will prevent the safe operation of the heater.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension lead suitable for outdoor use.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) recommends the use of an RCD to reduce the risk of fatal shock. For electrical safety it is recommended to always fit an RCD when you use power tools. You can have an RCD fitted to protect a particular circuit as part of the socket outlet between the socket outlet and the equipment being used. For greater safety when using electrical equipment use a residual current device (RCD). Care in use is still necessary.

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating this equipment. Do not use when you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the Space Heater may result in serious personal injury

WARNING! This heater is not suitable for use with Bio-Diesel; use of Bio-Diesel will damage the filter and seals. Damage caused by use of Bio-Diesel will not be covered by warranty.

PARAFFIN, KEROSENE AND DIESEL FUEL USAGE
These AB heaters are factory adjusted to give the most efficient burn on paraffin and kerosene but will also burn diesel. Note that paraffin and kerosene will tend to burn more cleanly than diesel. Care should be taken to provide at least the minimum amount of ventilation recommended when burning diesel.

Although Sealey heaters operate with diesel fuel, when the temperature is below 0°C diesel additives are required to maintain the diesel’s viscosity. Typically diesel can cloud in freezing conditions and will start to gel. You will need additives for your fuel in these conditions. Kerosene/Paraffin does not start to gel until the ambient temperature is around -40°C.
