FAN OPERATION
The fan is easily transportable by means of the wheels provided. Lift by the handle on the main body of the fan on the side opposite the wheels and manoeuvre the fan into position. Ensure that there is nothing in front of the fan that may be disturbed when the fan is switched on. Check that the speed control box situated in the recess in the rear grille of the fan is set to “OFF”. Uncoil the power lead from its stowage position and plug into the mains power supply. Ensure that the power lead is not stretched or positioned in such a way as to cause a hazard. Switch the power on. Turn the fan on by rotating the control knob from “OFF” to “LOW”. If a greater air flow is required turn the knob to the “HIGH” setting. When you have finished using the fan ensure you turn the speed control switch to “OFF” and disconnect the fan from mains power. Recoil the lead onto the stowage hooks situated within the recess in the rear grille.

MAINTENANCE
WARNING! Ensure the fan is disconnected from the mains power supply before attempting any of the following:

Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the body of the fan. DO NOT splash water onto the fan and never allow water to drip onto the motor housing. DO NOT use solvents, petroleum, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan. If it becomes necessary to clean the fan blades or inside the fan body, remove the front grille by undoing the 12 screws. Wipe with a damp cloth only. Replace the grille and re-fix using the screws. Should the motor, speed control box or the power lead require service or maintenance contact your local service agent. When not in use place the fan in its original box, or otherwise cover the fan to protect from dust, and store in a safe, dry, childproof location.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension lead suitable for outdoor use.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) recommends the use of an RCD to reduce the risk of fatal shock. For electrical safety it is recommended to always fit an RCD when you use power tools. You can have an RCD fitted to protect a particular circuit as part of the socket outlet between the socket outlet and the equipment being used. For greater safety when using electrical equipment use a residual current device (RCD). Care in use is still necessary.

Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating this equipment. Do not use when you are under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the compressor may result in serious personal injury.
