Air impact wrenches are potentially dangerous, and if not used correctly can cause serious injury to the user, bystanders and damage to property. The user bears sole responsibility for any damage or injury that may result from the use of the wrench for any purpose other than that for which it was intended. Air impact wrenches should not be operated by persons under 16 years of age, or persons whose stature and strength will prevent the safe operation of the air tool.

Air tools require lubricant so that the internal moving parts are lubricated. This can be done by placing a few drops of oil in the air inlet fitting on the bottom of the tool. This should be done on a daily basis or whenever the tool is used. It is also recommended that an air filter lubricator is used. An air filter is a device which removes contaminants from a compressed air stream. Moisture can condense in the air compressor so it is extremely important to drain the tank after each days use, also the filter regulator. If left in the tank moisture could accumulate and rust and weaken the tank, also this moisture could find its way along the airline and into the tool and affect the performance of the tool. If these steps are carried out the working life of the tool will be prolonged. This will ensure optimum performance. Safety glasses should always be worn when working with air tools to protect from flying debris such as particles of metal, rust, dirt and grime. Two handed operation required. This machine requires the use of two hands to ensure safe operation.

Couplings.
Vibration may cause failure if a quick change coupling is connected directly to the wrench. To overcome this, connect a leader hose to the wrench. A quick change coupling may then be used to connect the leader hose to the air line recoil hose

Take care when selecting tools for use with the compressor. Air tool manufacturers normally express the volume of air required to operate a tool in cubic feet per minute (cfm). This refers to free air delivered by the compressor (‘air out’) which varies according to the pressure setting. Do not confuse this with the compressor displacement which is the air taken in by the compressor (‘air in’). ‘Air out’ is always less than ‘air in’ due to losses within the compressor. Be sure to take into account the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) requirements of your air tool, which will need to be lower than the CFM of your compressor. High CFM ratings mean a compressor can provide more air, making higher CFM units more practical for larger applications.
