Operating instructions
Park the vehicle and, in accordance with manufacturer’s guidance procedure, remove the appropriate wheel(s).
Chock the remaining wheels to prevent the vehicle moving.
Do not apply handbrake.
NOTE: Remove calliper retaining fasteners to afford access to the brake piston.
Do not damage or kink the flexible brake line.
Disconnect the brake pad wear warning cables (if fitted) and remove the worn pads.
Select the appropriate side of the drive key.
NOTE: Some pistons require turning back under pressure. Use the reaction plact and lead screw in these cases.
The reaction body is fitted into the calliper fork.
The 3/8" square drive on the force screw engages the drive key.
If little reaction force is required the drive key can be used with a 3/8" square drive ratchet and extension.
